Quarantine
The Quarantine manager manages affected objects. Avira AntiVir Server can move affected objects to the Quarantine directory in a special format. It can then no longer be executed or opened.
Note
To move objects to Quarantine manager during a scan or file access, select the appropriate Quarantine option in the configuration of the Scanner and the Guard - Settings :: Scanner or Guard :: Action for concerning files .Toolbar, shortcuts and context menu

Rescan object
A selected object is scanned again for viruses and unwanted programs. The settings of the on-demand scan are used for this.
Return
Properties
Opens a dialog box with more detailed information on the selected object.
Note
The detailed information can also be opened by double-clicking on an object.

F3
A selected object is restored. This object is then in its original location.
Warning
Enormous damage in the system due to viruses and unwanted programs!
If you restore files: ensure that only files are restored which were able to be cleaned by another scan.Note
With Windows Vista, restoration of objects is only possible with administrator rights.
F6
Restore object to...
A selected object can be restored at a location selected by you. If you select this option, a "Save as" dialog opens in which you can select where to save the object.
Warning

If you restore files: ensure that only files are restored which were able to be cleaned by another scan.
Ins
If you regard a file as suspicious, you can add it to the Quarantine manager manually with this option and if required upload it to a Avira Malware Research Center web server for investigation using the Send object option.

The object is sent by email to Avira Malware Research Center for analysis. When you click on the Send Object button, a dialog opens in which you can enter the subject line and message text of the email. Enter text in the subject line and message field and click OK to send the suspect file.

Delete object
A selected object is deleted from the Quarantine manager. The object cannot be restored.

Status
An object placed in Quarantine can have different statuses:
Icon
Description
No virus or unwanted program was found, the object is "clean".
A virus or unwanted program was found.
If a suspect file was added to the Quarantine manager with the option Add file, it has this warning icon.

The object detected is a file.
Detection
Shows the name of the malware found.
Heuristic findings are identified with the abbreviation HEUR/.Source
Shows the path under which the object was found.
Date/Time
Displays the date and time of the detection.
Detailed information
File name
Full path and file name of the object.
Quarantine object
File name of the quarantine object.
Restored
YES / NO
Yes: The selected object has been restored.
NO: The selected object has not been restored.
Sent to Avira
YES / NO
The object has already been sent to Avira Malware Research Center for analysis.
The object has not yet been sent to Avira Malware Research Center for analysis.
Operating system
Windows 2000/2003/2008 Server: The malware has been identified by a Avira GmbH server product.
Scanning engine
Version number of search engine
Virus definition file
Version number of the virus definition file
Detection
Name of the malware detected.
Date/Time
Date and time of the detection.
