Overview displays data on system status:

AntiVir Guard

Status of real-time scan AntiVir Guard
You can activate or deactivate the real-time guard under Settings :: Guard :: Scan in the area of the drives.

Activated

AntiVir Guard is active, i.e. your system is permanently monitored for viruses and unwanted programs.

Deactivated

The real-time guard of Guard is deactivated.

Warning
There is no real-time scan for viruses and unwanted programs. The local drives and network drives of the server are not protected.

Last full system scan

Current status of the system scan carried out last
A complete system scan comprises the complete scan of all local hard discs of the server.

The last complete system scan was executed within a non-critical period.  The timeframe for a non-critical status can be defined under Settings and the default setting is 7 days.

Warning
If you have disabled status monitoring for the complete system scan in the configuration, the status display will show a green symbol. It is recommended that you activate status monitoring.

Date of last update, e.g. 10/07/2007

A critical period has passed since the last system scan. The timeframe for critical status can be defined under Settings  and the default setting is 8 to 30 days.

Warning
The status of the server is not secured. There is a possibility that viruses or unwanted programs have been saved to the server since the last system scan.

Not executed

No complete system check has been executed since installation.

Warning
The status of the server is unchecked. There is a possibility that viruses or unwanted programs have been saved on the server.

Date of last update, e.g. 10/06/2007

The period that has passed since the last system scan is in a non-secure range. The limiting value for non-secure status can be defined under Settings and the default setting is 31 days. 

Warning
The status of the server is unsafe. There is a possibility that viruses or unwanted programs have been saved to the server since the last system scan.

Unknown

This status is displayed when an unknown error occurs. In this case, please get in touch with our Support.

Actuality of the current version of AntiVir Server

The Avira AntiVir Server version has been updated within the last 24 hours.

Date of last update, e.g. 10/07/2007

Since the last update of Avira AntiVir Server 24 hours have passed, but you are sill in the update reminder cycle which you have chosen for the server. This depends on the settings under Settings :: General :: Safety.

Note
Check the update order you placed for the server in Scheduler, and change the update cycle set, if and when necessary.

Not carried out / not possible

Since installation no update has been carried out
or
the selected update reminder cycle has been exceeded, and no update has been carried out
or
the virus definition file is older than the update reminder cycle you have selected (see Settings :: General :: Security).

Warning
The version of AntiVir Server is no longer up-to-date, and the update cycle set in the update order for the server is larger than the recommended cycle of three days. Change the update order in Scheduler .

Note
If the license has expired, no updates can be carried out.

License valid until

Validity of your license

Validity date of the current license, e.g. July 18, 2009

You own a valid full license.

Validity date of the current license, e.g. July 10, 2009

You own a valid full license or an evaluation license. The licensing period is thirty days or less, however.

License expired on: e.g. 31.12.2007

Your license for Avira AntiVir Server has expired.

Warning
If your license has expired, no updates can be carried out any more. The protective functions of Avira AntiVir Server are deactivated and can no longer be activated.

 

Warnings

Warning messages relative to the actuality of the virus definition file:
You will receive a warning message, if the virus definition file is elder than the update cycle you have chosen. You can configure the update cycle under Settings::General aspects::Safety.

Note

Notes on update orders, on password protection or on product updates
You will be notified on the absence of update orders in Scheduler and an absent password protection as well as on any new product updates.
