Mail Server Parameters Dialog Box


 

Use this dialog box to configure e-mail delivery of reports. DeviceLock allows you to distribute reports through e-mail. E-mail delivery of reports requires a Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server. Before you can use e-mail delivery of reports, you must specify which SMTP server will be used to send the e-mail messages and which e-mail address will be used as the sender address. 

 

Use e-mail notifications for reports 

Configures an e-mail notification for completed reports. Select the Use e-mail notifications for reports check box to type your e-mail information in the corresponding boxes. Clear the Use e-mail notifications for reports check box to remove the previously configured SMTP server and e-mail notification settings.

 

SMTP host 

Specifies the name of the SMTP server to use when sending messages. You can specify the SMTP server through an IP address or a DNS resolvable name.

 

Port

Specifies the port that SMTP clients use to connect to the SMTP server. The default value is 25. 

 

Server requires authentication

Specifies the type of authentication to use with the SMTP server. Select the Server requires authentication check box to specify basic authentication. Clear the Server requires authentication check box to specify no authentication.

 

User name

Specifies the user name to use for authentication with the SMTP server. This property requires a value if you specified basic authentication.

 

Password

Specifies the password to use for authentication with the SMTP server. This property requires a value if you specified basic authentication.

 

Sender Address

Specifies the e-mail address that will be used in the From: line of an e-mail message.
