First of all, the automatic updating utility checks the presence of a key file (a license file or a demo file). If no key file is found, you will be asked to obtain a key file on the Internet through the user registration procedure.
To receive a license key file, you will need to enter the registration serial number, supplied to you when purchasing a Dr.Web anti-virus license. If you do not have a registration serial number, you can receive a demo key file, which will enable you to use the Dr.Web anti-virus for 30 days.
