Synchronizing and purging the local summary database

To ensure that custom reports contain accurate information, you must manually synchronize the local summary database with the manager sumfinal databases in the network.

You can synchronize the local summary database with the following:

The managers that are connected to the ESM console.
The managers in a specific region.
A single manager.

You can update the module message details in the local summary database for the following:

The managers that are connected to the ESM console.
The managers in a specific region.
A single manager.

You can purge the local summary database to increase the available disk space on the host computer. This action retains the current settings.

You can synchronize the local summary database or store module messages to restore the information that is required for reporting or analysis.

To synchronize with all connected managers

Do one of the following:
- On the toolbar, click Download all managers' summary data.
- On the File menu, click Synchronize local database.
- On the enterprise tree, right-click My ESM Enterprise, and then click Synchronize local database.

To synchronize with the managers in a region

Right-click the region.
Click Synchronize with local database.

To synchronize with a single manager

Right-click the manager.
Click Synchronize with local database.

To store message details from all managers

Do one of the following:
- On the File menu, click Store all module messages.
- On the enterprise tree, right-click My ESM Enterprise, and then click Store all module messages.

To store message details from managers in a region

Right-click the region.
Click Store region module messages.

To store message details from a single manager

Right-click the manager.
Click Store manager module messages.

To purge the local summary database

On the File menu, click Purge local database.
