RRAS NetBIOS gateway disabled (Windows)

Module: Network Integrity

Supported Platforms: Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Windows Vista, Windows XP

This check works if Routing and Remote Access (RRAS) service is running and this service is cofigured to function like a NETBIOS gateway. This check reports a problem only if check "RRAS enabled" is selected and the NetBIOS gateway is enabled. If the registry value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RemoteAccess\Parameters\Ip\allownetworkaccess is not 0, a problem is reported. This lets RRAS server users access network resources.
