The User Files module examines the user file ownership and permissions, the PATH and umask settings in startup files, the files with the same names as system commands, the hidden directories, the special device files, and the remote mount points. This module is present in the Queries module.

The User Files module has six security checks that report correctable messages. These messages let you correct user file settings on the agent from the console grid. Correctable messages display the letter C in the Updatable/Correctable column of the console grid.
