You can filter e-mail attachments of a specified size. To filter files by size, in the file filter list, specify a comparison operator and a file size in kilobytes (KB), megabytes (MB), or gigabytes (GB). The following table describes the comparison operators you can use.
Operator | Meaning |
---|---|
= |
Equal to |
> |
Greater than |
< |
Less than |
>= |
Greater than or equal to |
<= |
Less than or equal to |
These must be placed immediately after the file name, with no spaces between either the file name and the operator or the operator and the file size. The Maximum container file size setting in Global Settings - Advanced Options specifies the maximum container file size (in bytes) that FPE attempts to clean or repair when it discovers an infected file.
Examples:
- *.bmp>=1.2MB filters all files with
the .bmp extension that are larger than or equal to 1.2
megabytes.
- *.com>150KB filters all files with
the .com extension that are larger than 150 kilobytes.
- *>5GB filters all files that are
larger than 5 gigabytes.
