To allow connections from clients running
previous versions of Firewall Client
In the console tree of ISA Server Management, click
General.
In the details pane, click Define Firewall Client
Settings.
On the Connection tab, click Allow non-encrypted
Firewall client connections.
Notes
To open ISA Server Management, click Start, point to
All Programs, point to Microsoft ISA Server, and then
click ISA Server Management.
For ISA Server 2006 Enterprise Edition, expand
Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration
Server 2006, expand Arrays, expand
Array_Name, expand Configuration, and then
click General.
For ISA Server 2006 Standard Edition, expand Microsoft
Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, expand
Server_Name, expand Configuration, and then
click General.
Important
When you select this option, computers running earlier versions
of Firewall Client software are allowed to connect. Also, any
Firewall client running Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0,
Windows Millennium Edition, or Windows 98 can
connect.
When you select this option, non-encrypted traffic from
authenticated users will be blocked. Users are only authenticated
if firewall policy rules specifically require authentication.
