Network for automatic dialing

Automatic dialing is configured per network. When Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006 receives a request for the selected network, it uses the dial-up connection configured for the specific network.

Automatic dialing can be used for one network only.

If automatic dialing is used for connecting to the Internet, you should select the External network for the automatic dial-up connection. You may want to use automatic dialing for a network other than the Internet. For example, you can configure automatic dialing to connect to a branch office or to a specific location in your organization.

For instructions, see Configure automatic dialing. For instructions on creating networks, see Create an array-level network.
