Server-specific and confidential information

When you export a configuration, you can select to export server-specific and confidential information.

Import server-specific information

Select the Import server-specific information option when importing information to the array from which it was exported, or when importing to a new array that has a member server with the same name.

When you select this option, the server configuration for each array member is restored, including cache configuration, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate, and Virtual Private Networks (VPN) static address pool.

If you select this option when importing to an array with different members, erroneous and invalid server settings will be imported.

Import/Export user permission settings

Select this option when restoring the permission settings of the exported array or enterprise. When you select this option, the environment of the imported array or enterprise, including domain users and role definitions, must be the same as those originally exported. This option is useful when restoring to the same enterprise. It is also useful when you want to duplicate an array configuration within the same domain.

Export confidential information

Select this option when you are exporting the configuration as a backup file. Confidential information that is exported includes:

When you select this option, you must specify a password with eight or more characters.
