Connectivity of servers in a server farm

Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006 creates a connectivity verifier for each Web server when you configure a server farm. You can use an HTTP or HTTPS "GET" request , a ping request, or a TCP connection as a connectivity verifier.

If you have a farm consisting of two servers, A and B, and you choose to use the HTTP "GET" request method to verify connectivity, the default setting of http://*/ on the Connectivity Monitoring page of the New Server Farm Definition Wizard will result in two connectivity verifiers: http://A/ and http://B/.

To monitor the connectivity of a Web server, expand ISA Server Management, select the Monitoring node, and then select the Connectivity Verifiers tab.
