To enable Network Load Balancing integration
(Enterprise Edition)
ISA Server 2006 Enterprise Edition only
In the console tree of ISA Server Management, click
Networks:
Expand Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration
Server 2006, expand Arrays, expand
Array_Name, expand Configuration, and then
click Networks.
In the details pane, click the Networks tab, and then
select the applicable network.
On the Tasks tab, click Enable Network Load Balancing
Integration.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
Note
To open ISA Server Management, click Start, point to
All Programs, point to Microsoft ISA Server, and then
click ISA Server Management.
Important
Network Load Balancing should be enabled for the External
network only if the external network adapters of the array are
directly connected to the Internet, but not if they access the
Internet through another network.
When a virtual IP address is configured for a network, ISA
Server adds the specified IP address to a network adapter on each
server, and updates the routing table for that network adapter
accordingly.
The combination of the virtual IP address and mask must yield
the same subnet as the combination of the IP address and mask of
the adapter in the network. The virtual IP address must belong to
the network.
When you enable or disable integrated NLB mode, the Microsoft
Firewall service on all array members must be restarted.
