Registration

Web filters to be used by the ISA Web proxy service have to be registered under ISA/Arrays/ISAPI-Filters. The administrator will then have access to filter activation through ISA Management.

There are two steps in the filter registration process:

1. Setup, including copying the filter DLL to an appropriate location, and adding the filter to ISA storage. This process is shown in Web Filter Setup.
2. Subscription, by using the GetFilterVersion function. This action assigns the notification for which the filter will be called. Subscription occurs each time the ISA Web proxy service is restarted.
