Purpose

Microsoft® Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000 is an extensible platform that integrates firewall and cache features, and routes requests and responses between the Internet and client computers. ISA Server provides filtering to block access to specific sites, and uses network address translation (NAT) and other methods to enable secure access between an intranet and the Internet. This documentation includes information and libraries for developing firewall extensions, administration tools, security applications, and other components that integrate with and build on the ISA platform.
