The BypassLocalServers property gets or sets a Boolean value that indicates whether Web browsers running on Firewall Client computers will bypass the Web proxy for requests sent to non-dotted names.

Parameters

pfBypass
Pointer to a Boolean variable that is set on return to VARIANT_TRUE if Web browsers running on Firewall clients will bypass the Web proxy for requests sent to non-dotted names, or to VARIANT_FALSE if Web browsers running on Firewall clients will not bypass the Web proxy for requests sent to non-dotted names.
fBypass
Boolean value that indicates whether Web browsers running on Firewall clients will bypass the Web proxy for requests sent to non-dotted names.

Return Values

These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.

This property is read/write.

Non-dotted names typically refer to Web servers in the local network. To enable Web browsers running on Firewall clients to bypass the Web proxy for requests sent to dotted names (or IP addresses) that refer to Web servers in the local network, add these names (or IP addresses) to the local domain table (LDT).
