Configuration Options

Configures the polling interval, display options, and server selection.

MIIS Monitor options

Set Poll Interval

Field Description
Polling interval (seconds) Specifies the frequency, in seconds, that MIIS Service Monitor will poll the selected MIIS 2003 server for statistics.

Note

  • Regular polling of the management agents may affect the performance of the MIIS 2003 server. If you are experiencing performance issues when running MIIS Service Monitor, either increase the polling interval, or disable the polling of management agent statistics by clicking the chevron in the upper right corner of the Management Agent Statistics pane.
Do not show MIIS Service Monitor on load By selecting this option, MIIS Service Monitor will start minimized in the toolbar. Right-click the icon to access the context menu.

Set Identity Integration Server Machine

Field Description
Select machine Select an MIIS 2003 server from the list to monitor.
Remove Removes the highlighted MIIS 2003 server from the list.
Change credentials Opens a dialog box to specify credentials to the selected MIIS 2003 server. The options are:
  • Impersonate currently logged on user for authentication — Uses the credentials of the currently logged on user. This option must be selected to launch the Event Viewer from the MIIS Event Viewer page.
  • Supply alternate credentials for remote authentication — Uses an alternate set of credentials for authentication to the selected server.
    • User name — Type the alternate user name.
    • Password — Type the password for the selected user.
    • Log on to — Type the server name or domain name for the selected user. If this field is blank when you select OK, the currently selected server name will be entered.
  • Notes

    • To monitor WMI statistics on the target machine, the specified user must be a member of the Administrators group on the target machine.
    • The credentials to the selected machine are verified when you select OK on the Configuration Options page. If no credentials have been specified, credentials for the logged on user are used.
Add machine Specifies an MIIS 2003 server name. Click Add to add the server to the list.

Set SQL Server Machine

Field Description
Select machine Select a SQL server from the list to monitor.
Remove Removes the highlighted SQL server from the list.
Change credentials Opens a dialog box to specify credentials to the selected MIIS 2003 server. The options are:

Set SQL Server instance Type an instance for the selected SQL server. If no selection is made, the default instance is used.
