For this procedure, in Joiner, you can specify how a
disconnector object in a connector space is managed. Disconnector
objects can remain in a connector space, attempt to join a
metaverse object, be projected to the metaverse, or be deleted on
subsequent management agent runs depending on the disconnector
type. To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the MIISJoiners security group or the MIISAdmins security group.
To specify a disconnector type
On the Tools menu, click Joiner.
In Management Agent, click the management agent that
contains the connector space object that you want to configure as a
disconnector.
In Disconnector Type, do one of the following:
To search for all disconnector objects regardless of their
type, click All Disconnectors Types.
To search for disconnector objects that can be joined or
projected by rules, click Disconnectors.
To search for disconnector objects that cannot be joined or
projected by rules, click Explicit Disconnectors.
To search for disconnector objects in the connector space that
contain a set of rules that prevents them from being automatically
projected or joined to corresponding metaverse objects, click
Filtered Disconnectors.
Click Search.
In Disconnectors, click the object that you want to
configure a disconnector.
In Actions, click Set Disconnector Type.
In Disconnector Object State, do one of the
following:
To prevent join and projection rules from being applied during
subsequent synchronizations, click Explicit disconnector.
Disconnectors will remain in the connector space.
To allow join and projection rules to be applied during
subsequent synchronizations, click Disconnector.
Click Save.
Note
If you specify a disconnector type using Joiner, the Joiner
setting overrides any disconnector type settings that you make on
the Configure Deprovisioning page of Management Agent
Designer.
