For this procedure, in Management Agent Designer, on the
Configure GAL page, you can configure the Active Directory
GAL container and Exchange settings for the forest to be
synchronized. To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the MIISAdmins security group.
This procedure applies to management agents for the following
Microsoft Identity Integration Server 2003 editions:
Enterprise Edition
Identity Integration Feature Pack for Active Directory
Active Directory global address list (GAL)

GAL container configuration
In Management Agent Designer, on the Configure
GAL page, in Specify the destination container for contacts
synchronized to this forest, click Target.
In Target Container, in Select a partition, click
the partition that contains those containers to be used when
synchronizing contacts for the forest, then click Container,
and then select a container that will be the destination container
for contacts. To filter and select specific containers where
permissions or schema configuration do not allow you to select
higher-level containers or to exclude specific containers, click
Advanced, and then, in Advanced Container, do any of
the following:
To add a container, in Specify additional container to
add, type the container name, click Include, and then
click Add.
To exclude a specific container when its parent container is
selected, in Specify additional container to add, type the
container name, click Exclude container, and then click
Add.
To remove a container, in Containers to synchronize,
click a container, and then click Remove.
To select containers with authoritative contacts that will be
synchronized to other forests as contacts, in Containers with
authoritative contacts in this forest, click Source, in
Source Containers, in Select a partition, click
Add Containers. To remove a container, click the container
in Containers, and then click Remove Container.
Exchange configuration
In Exchange configuration, in SMTP mail suffixes
managed by Exchange in this forest, to configure a mail suffix
for users and groups or for contacts, click Edit then in
SMTP Mail Suffix, type a suffix and then click
Add.
To specify if mail to contacts exported into this forest should
be routed through the source forest, select Route mail sent to
contacts exported into this forest through the source
forest.
To specify an administrative group that will be associated with
contacts synchronized into this forest, select Specify an
administrative group to enable interoperability with Exchange 5.5
and Active Directory Connector environments, then click
Edit, in Administrative Group, click a primary group
and secondary group (if more than one administrative groups are
availible).
Note
When you select containers, a blue check mark in a white box
next to a container indicates that the parent container and all of
the child containers are selected. A white check mark in a gray box
indicates that the parent container is selected and that one or
more child containers are not selected. No check mark in a grey box
indicates that at least one child container is selected, but the
parent container is not selected.
