Configure sites

For this procedure, in Management Agent Designer, on the Configure Sites page, you can select the Microsoft Exchange Server sites and containers that contain objects that you want to synchronize. You must specify at least one site. You must also specify logon credentials and a preferred logon server so that each time the management agent is run, it has the rights necessary to read directory sites from the server running Exchange Server. To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the MIISAdmins security group.

This procedure applies to management agents for the following Microsoft Identity Integration Server 2003 editions:

To configure sites

  1. In Management Agent Designer, on the Configure Sites page, in Select sites select the site or sites for the Exchange organization that you want to configure.
  2. In Server connection settings, do any of the following optional tasks:

To filter and select specific containers for a directory partition, click Containers, and then clear the check box next to the containers that contain objects that you do not want to synchronize. By default, the highest level container and all child containers for a site are selected. You must select at least one container that contains the objects that you want to synchronize.
  4. To filter and select specific containers where permissions or schema configuration do not allow you to select higher-level containers, or to exclude specific containers, click Containers, click Advanced, and then, in Advanced Container, do any of the following:
