Connect to an Exchange organization

For this procedure, in Management Agent Designer, on the Connect to Organization page, you connect to a server running Microsoft Exchange Server. You must provide a server name, user account, password, and logon domain to log on to the server running Exchange Server. The user name that you specify must have at least read rights for the Exchange global address list (GAL). Each time the management agent is run, it uses this information to log on to the server running Exchange Server to read or write to the directory that you specify. To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the MIISAdmins security group.

This procedure applies to management agents for the following Microsoft Identity Integration Server 2003 editions:

Enterprise Edition Identity Integration Feature Pack for Active Directory
Exchange Server 5.5 and Exchange Server 5.5 (bridgehead server) N\A

To connect to an Exchange organization

  1. In Management Agent Designer, on the Connect to Organization page, in Server name, type the complete name of the Microsoft Exchange Server, and then, type a user account, password, and logon domain.
  2. To enable secure communication with the Exchange server, select Enable Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for communications.
