Configure additional parameters for extensible connectivity

For this procedure, in Management Agent Designer, on the Configure Additional Parameters page, you can configure connection parameters and values that are specified to be passed to the extension when the management agent is run. For example, you can configure an additional user name and encrypted password that will be used to log on to the data source. To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the MIISAdmins security group.

This procedure applies to management agents for the following Microsoft Identity Integration Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) editions:

To configure additional parameters for extensible connectivity

  1. In Configure Additional Parameters, click New.
  2. In the Parameter dialog box, in Parameter name, type the name of the parameter as it exists in the extension.
  3. In Value, type the value for the parameter.
  4. If the value will be encrypted when it is passed, select the Encrypted value check box.
