Select a template input file

For this procedure, in Management Agent Designer, on the Select Template Input File page, you select a template input file. The template input file that you use to create a text file management agent is typically the same as a custom data input file. Management Agent Designer parses the template input file to determine the format type, attributes, and object classes (if any) to create the management agent. A custom data input file contains all of the actual data you want to synchronize with the metadirectory. The custom data input file is generated by an .exe, command, or script from your connected data source. The actual contents of the template input file are not synchronized with the metadirectory unless you specify the same file as the custom data input file when you create a run profile. You can see this page only when you create a new management agent with Management Agent Designer. To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the MIISAdmins security group.

This procedure applies to management agents for the following Microsoft Identity Integration Server 2003 editions:

Enterprise Edition Identity Integration Feature Pack for Active Directory
Attribute-value pair text files, delimited text files, Directory Services Markup Language (DSML) 2.0, extensible connectivity, fixed-width text files, LDAP Data Interchange Format (LDIF) N\A
