Use Metaverse Search to disconnect a connector object
For this procedure, in Metaverse Search, you can disconnect a
connector object in a connector space from a metaverse object. When
you disconnect a connector object, you prevent import and export
attribute flow between the connector object (now a disconnector)
and a metaverse object until a join rule is reapplied. To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the MIISJoiners security group or the MIISAdmins security group.
To use Metaverse Search to disconnect a
connector object
On the Tools menu, click Metaverse Search.
In Search Results, click an attribute.
On the Actions menu, click Properties.
In Metaverse Object Properties, on the Connectors
tab, click the object that you want to disconnect, and then click
Disconnect.
In Disconnect Object, to prevent join and projection
rules from being applied during subsequent synchronizations, select
Explicit Disconnector, to allow join and projection rules to
be applied during subsequent synchronizations, select
Disconnector (default).
Notes
Once an object is disconnected, to reconnect the object between
the connector space and the metaverse, you must use Joiner to join
the object, and then run the management agent with a run profile of
Full Import and Full Synchronization mode.
To perform this procedure, you must first search for an object and at least one column in Search Results must be populated. If you have performed a search, but you do not see a populated list in Search Results, you might need to configure additional columns so that they appear in Search Results. For more information about configuring search result columns, see Related Topics.
