Use Metaverse Search to disconnect a connector object

For this procedure, in Metaverse Search, you can disconnect a connector object in a connector space from a metaverse object. When you disconnect a connector object, you prevent import and export attribute flow between the connector object (now a disconnector) and a metaverse object until a join rule is reapplied. To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the MIISJoiners security group or the MIISAdmins security group.

To use Metaverse Search to disconnect a connector object

  1. On the Tools menu, click Metaverse Search.
  2. In Search Results, click an attribute.
  3. On the Actions menu, click Properties.
  4. In Metaverse Object Properties, on the Connectors tab, click the object that you want to disconnect, and then click Disconnect.
  5. In Disconnect Object, to prevent join and projection rules from being applied during subsequent synchronizations, select Explicit Disconnector, to allow join and projection rules to be applied during subsequent synchronizations, select Disconnector (default).
