Enabling blocking of potentially dangerous attachments

When Panda Antivirus Pro 2010 detects an attachment with potentially dangerous characteristics, it sends it to quarantine to guarantee the security of your computer.

To enable this option, follow these steps:

  1. Click Status in the main window.

  2. In the Protection section, click Settings.

  3. Click Unknown threats and select Move potentially dangerous attachments to quarantine.

If you want to specify the types of files that are considered suspicious, click Settings and select the options you want: Files with incorrect MIME type, Files with double extension, or Files with the following extension.

If you want certain types of files not be considered as suspicious, you can remove the extension from the list of scannable extensions. To do this, enable the option Files with the following extensions and click on Extensions. In the window that appears you can remove extensions and add new ones.

Note: There are certain extensions that you cannot remove from the list.

In Quarantine you can see the attachments that have been blocked. From there you can select the action you want: restore the file to its original location once disinfected, eliminate it, send it to our experts, etc.
