How to enable or disable the detection of hacking tools

 

Follow the steps below to enable or disable the detection of hacking tools in on-demand and/or scheduled scans:

  1. Click Scan in the Panda Antivirus Pro 2010 main window.

  2. Right-click the on-demand scan you want to launch (e.g. Scan all my computer), and select Settings.

  3. The Threats to detect and exclude section at the bottom of the screen lets you indicate the types of threats that you want to detect. Click the Settings button that appears in this section.

  4. If you want to enable the detection of hacking tools select the Hacking tools checkbox. However, if you want to disable it, clear this box.

If you wish to enable or disable the detection of hacking tools in the automatic protection, follow these steps:

  1. Click Status in the Panda Antivirus Pro 2010 main window.

  2. In the Protection section, click Settings.

  3. The Threats to detect and exclude section at the bottom of the screen lets you indicate the types of threats that you want to detect. Click the Settings button that appears in this section.

  4. The Hacking tools option appears in the window. If you want to enable detection of this type of program in the automatic protection, select the corresponding option (it will be enabled by default). Otherwise, to disable it, clear the checkbox.

nota_shg.gif Note: If you don't want Panda Antivirus Pro 2010 to neutralize hacking tools, you can exclude them from the scans or disable their detection.
