How can I start a self-diagnosis?

Panda Antivirus Pro 2010 keeps you permanently informed on the program’s level of protection (high, medium or low). This is possible thanks to the self-diagnosis system that it incorporates. The resulting level of protection is based on how updated the program is, and on the status of each of the automatic protections.

If the level of protection is medium or low, Panda Antivirus Pro 2010 will suggest the actions to take in order to set an optimum level of protection (update the program, check the automatic protections, etc.)

Panda Antivirus Pro 2010 can do the self-diagnosis automatically within a certain time period (approximately every fifteen minutes). Follow the steps below to enable this option:

  1. Click the Preferences button in the Panda Antivirus Pro 2010 main window.

  2. In the General tab select the Enable self-diagnosis checkbox.

If you wish to know the level of protection at a given time, you can do so from the Panda Antivirus Pro 2010 icon on the Windows taskbar, as indicated below:

  1. Right-click the Panda Antivirus Pro 2010 icon in the Windows taskbar icon (next to the computer clock).

  2. Select the option Start self-diagnosis.

Once this option is selected, the self-diagnosis will be performed and a warning message will appear informing you about the current level of protection. If the level of protection is medium or low, the program will suggest the actions to take in order to set an optimum level of protection.
