To collect debug logs from supported Symantec products you must
use the following command-line:
symhelp -wizprod
The debug log wizard contains the following steps each with its
own window:
EULA This is the same as running SymHelp without the
-wizprod switch. Once the EULA is selected the wizard UI mode will
begin.
Welcome This is the first window in the wizard. It
simply provides a brief explanation of what the wizard does.
Select Product This second window contains a checklist
of products with debug logging controls. Each product has a drop
down list of logging modes available. The 'Advanced' option allows
the user to select specific debug logging settings.
Enable Debug The third window in the wizard indicates
that SymHelp has configured and started debug logging. Once the
needed data is produced clicking next will disable debug logging
and start the process of data collection.
Collect Data The fourth window provides a progress
indicator for data collection. The data collection includes data
collected in the full data collection for the selected products. It
also collects the data generated by the debug logs which were
created by the user's configuration of this wizard.
Save Data This last window in the wizard provides
options for saving the data that has been collected and is the same
as the Save window in the regular UI.
