This topic describes how to install the Forefront TMG Management console for remotely managing Forefront TMG servers that are installed on other computers. Before you start the installation, it is recommended that you read the section "Installation scenarios" in Planning to install Forefront TMG.

Note:
The computer must be connected to the Internet during the installation process.

To install the Forefront Threat Management Gateway Management

  1. Insert the Forefront TMG DVD into the DVD drive, or run autorun.hta from the shared network drive.

  2. On the main setup page, click Run Installation Wizard.

  3. On the Installation Type page, select Forefront TMG Management only.

  4. On the Installation Path page, you can change the default installation path.

  5. On the Ready to Install the Program page, click Install.

  6. After the installation is complete, if you want to open Forefront TMG Management select Launch Forefront TMG Management when the wizard closes.
