Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) includes the Microsoft Firewall service, which is extended by application filters. One of the application filters that are installed during setup is the Web Proxy Filter, which, in turn, is extended by Web filters.
The Forefront TMG firewall performs instrusion detection to detect flood attacks and provides secure network address translation (SecureNAT) to enable NAT clients to connect through Forefront TMG.
