Building the Context-Sensitive Menu Sample

The complete DataMonitor sample is included in the Samples\Appfilters\DataMonitor folder and subfolders of the SDK. To build the sample take the following steps.

To build the sample with a context-sensitive menu extension included in the SDK

1. Open Microsoft Visual Studio®.
2. Open the sample project, DataMonitor.sln, which also opens DataMonitorAdmin.sln.
3. To see the project files, select the View menu, and then click Solution Explorer.
4. Press the F7 key to build the sample.

This will create the necessary dynamic-link libraries (DLL). When you register these DLLs, you can see the menu when you right-click a publishing rule in Forefront TMG Management or click the Filtering button on the Traffic tab of the rule's properties.
