The EventGUID property gets the string-formatted globally unique identifier (GUID) of the event for which the alert is issued.
HRESULT get_EventGUID( BSTR* pbstrGuid );
Pointer to a BSTR that is set on return to a string value specifying the string-formatted GUID of the event that signals the alert.
This property method returns S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, it returns an error code.
Property EventGUID As String
String containing the GUID of the event for which the alert is issued.
This property is read-only. Its value can be modified, along with the values of the AdditionalKey and ServerName properties, by calling the SetDefinitions method.
The GUID retrieved is formatted as a string in the form {12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789ABC}. Note the presence of the braces normally used with GUIDs.
