The MemoryUsagePercentage property gets or sets the percentage of physical memory that may be used for caching.
HRESULT put_MemoryUsagePercentage( long lMemoryUsage ); HRESULT get_MemoryUsagePercentage( long* plMemoryUsage );
Pointer to a variable that on return receives a 32-bit integer specifying the percentage of physical memory that may be used for caching.
A 32-bit integer that specifies the percentage of physical memory that may be used for caching.
These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.
Property MemoryUsagePercentage As Long
A 32-bit integer that specifies the percentage of physical memory that may be used for caching.
This property is read/write. Its default value is 10, and its range of permissible values is from 0 through 100.
This property corresponds to the Percentage of free memory to use for caching setting in Forefront TMG Management.
If you are using a particular computer primarily for Forefront TMG, this number should be higher because a higher percentage will increase the efficiency of the cache. If the computer's resources are needed for other services, you may want to consider lowering the percentage of physical memory used for Forefront TMG. For more information, see Forefront TMG Caching Mechanism.
After the value of the MemoryUsagePercentage property has been modified, the change must be written to persistent storage by calling the Save method, and the Microsoft Firewall service must be restarted for the change to take effect. For more information about restarting the Firewall service to apply changes, see Restarting Services After Configuration Changes.
