BypassLocalServers Property of the IFPCClientAutoScript Interface

The BypassLocalServers property gets or sets a Boolean value that indicates whether Web browsers configured to use the default automatic configuration script will bypass the Web proxy for requests sent to non-dotted names.

Parameters

pfBypass

Pointer to a Boolean variable that is set on return to VARIANT_TRUE if Web browsers configured to use the default automatic configuration script will bypass the Web proxy for requests sent to non-dotted names, or to VARIANT_FALSE if Web browsers configured to use the default automatic configuration script will not bypass the Web proxy for requests sent to non-dotted names.

fBypass

Boolean value that indicates whether Web browsers configured to use the default automatic configuration script will bypass the Web proxy for requests sent to non-dotted names.

Return Value

These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.

Remarks

This property is read/write. Its default value is True (VARIANT_TRUE in C++).

Non-dotted names typically refer to Web servers in the local network. To enable Web browsers using the default automatic configuration script to bypass the Web proxy for requests sent to dotted names that refer to Web servers in the local network, add these names to the local domain table (LDT), or to the FPCPublicNames collection accessed through the DirectAddressDestinations property.
