Name Property of the IFPCClientSettingsSection Interface

The Name property gets or sets the name of the Firewall client settings section.

Parameters

pbstrName

Pointer to a BSTR that is set on return to a string value specifying the name of the Firewall client settings section.

bstrName

BSTR that specifies the name of the Firewall client settings section.

Return Value

These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.

Remarks

This property is read/write.

The name of a settings section specifies the client application to which its entries apply. The Name property can be set to the name of the applicable binary file without the file extension or a wildcard (*). A settings section whose Name property is set to a wildcard (*) applies to all applications.

Setting sections that apply to all applications may contain entries only for the DontRemoteOutboundTcpPorts and DontRemoteOutboundUdpPorts keys.
