RequestType Property of the IFPCConnectivityVerifier Interface

The RequestType property gets a value from the FpcRequestType enumerated type that specifies the type of request to be used in the verification operation of the connectivity verifier. The request can be an HTTP request, a ping request, or a TCP connection request.

Parameters

pRequestType: Pointer to a variable that on return receives a value from the FpcRequestType enumerated type specifying the type of request to be used in the verification operation of the connectivity verifier.

This property method returns S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, it returns an error code.

Property Value

Remarks

This property is read-only. It can be set by calling the SetConnectivityRequest method. Its default value is fpcHttpRequest, which indicates that the connectivity verifier sends HTTP requests for Web pages to test connectivity.

If this property is set to fpcHttpConnect, a system policy rule, named Allow HTTP/HTTPS requests from Forefront TMG to selected servers for connectivity verifiers, which belongs to the HTTP Connectivity Verifiers configuration group, must be enabled for the connectivity verifier to work.
