The SQLForceEncryption property gets or sets a Boolean value that indicates whether a secure connection is to be used when logging to a SQL Server database.
HRESULT put_SQLForceEncryption( VARIANT_BOOL fSQLForceEncryption ); HRESULT get_SQLForceEncryption( VARIANT_BOOL* pfSQLForceEncryption );
Pointer to a Boolean variable that is set on return to VARIANT_TRUE if a secure connection is to be used when logging to a SQL Server database, or to VARIANT_FALSE if a secure connection is not to be used when logging to a SQL Server database.
Boolean value that indicates whether a secure connection is to be used when logging to a SQL Server database.
These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.
Property SQLForceEncryption As Boolean
Boolean value that indicates whether a secure connection is to be used when logging to a SQL Server database.
This property is read/write. Its default value is True (VARIANT_TRUE in C++).
When this property is set to True (VARIANT_TRUE in C++) (the default value), the array members use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which enforces both encryption and mutual authentication, for direct connections with the SQL server. If the Forefront TMG computers belong to a workgroup, a server certificate must be installed on the SQL Server computer.
