StartMSDEService Method of the IFPCServer Interface

The StartMSDEService method starts the Microsoft Data Engine (MSDE) service on the server.

  [in, optional]  VARIANT_BOOL fWaitUntilComplete
);

fWaitUntilComplete: Boolean value that specifies whether the method waits for the operation to complete before returning S_OK or an error. The default value is VARIANT_FALSE.

This method returns S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, it returns an error code.

fWaitUntilComplete: Boolean value that specifies whether the method waits for the operation to complete before returning or raising an error. The default value is False.

This method has no return values. If the call is unsuccessful, an error is raised that can be intercepted by using an error handler.

This method is deprecated in Forefront TMG. Use StopIsaDatabaseLogService instead.
