The EnablePAP property gets or sets a Boolean value that indicates whether the Password Authentication Protocol (PAP) is enabled.
HRESULT put_EnablePAP( VARIANT_BOOL fEnablePAP ); HRESULT get_EnablePAP( VARIANT_BOOL* pfEnablePAP );
Pointer to a Boolean variable that is set on return to VARIANT_TRUE if PAP is enabled, or to VARIANT_FALSE if PAP is disabled.
Boolean value that specifies whether PAP is enabled.
These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.
Property EnablePAP As Boolean
Boolean value that specifies whether PAP is enabled.
This property is read/write. Its default value is False (VARIANT_FALSE in C++).
When PAP is used for authentication, passwords are sent in plaintext, or unencrypted, form. You should use this authentication protocol only when support for non-Microsoft remote PAP clients is required.
