Close Method of the IFWXSocket Interface

The Close method closes the socket.

Syntax

HRESULT Close(
  [in]  BOOLEAN fAbortive
);

Parameters

fAbortive

Close-type flag. If TRUE, the connection will be hard closed (RST packet). If FALSE, it will not be hard closed (FIN packet).

Return Value

This method returns S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, it returns an error code.

Remarks

A hard close is done by setting the SO_DONTLINGER option in the Winsock setsockopt function.
