When working with Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG) in an array that uses Network Load Balancing (NLB), you must take care when installing Update 1. This topic describes how to install Update 1 on a Forefront UAG array that is using NLB.

To install Update 1 on an array using NLB

  2. In Web Monitor, under Array Monitor, click Current Status.

  3. In the Array Monitor, under Nodes, select the check box for the array manager. Then, in the drop-down list, click Drain Stop, and click Apply.

    Note:
For a Forefront UAG DirectAccess-only deployment, in the drop-down list click Stop, click Apply, and then continue with step 6.
  4. Wait until all sessions have finished.
