This topic describes how to disable and re-enable Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG) event logging.

To disable event logging

  • On the Forefront UAG server, run the following:

    …\utils\MonitorMgr\MonitorMgrUtil.exe -sms 0

    Events are no longer logged, and event messages are not sent to any of the configured reporters.

To re-enable event logging

  • On the Forefront UAG server, run the following:

    …\utils\MonitorMgr\MonitorMgrUtil.exe -sms 1

    Events are logged to the Event Logging mechanism, and event messages are sent to the configured logging mechanism.
