UserGate Proxy Server supports several user
authentication methods (some of them require installation of
UserGate Authorization Client on user computers). Authorization
methods include the following:
- IP address - authorization by IP address. It is
necessary to specify the IP address of the user's computer.
- IP+MAC address - authorization by combination of IP and
MAC addresses (card MAC address is determined automatically).
- IP+MAC (ticket) - authorization by combination of IP and
MAC addresses, intended for work on an advance payment.
When adding a new user, UserGate administrator should set up a
login name and password, which the user is to enter on the
registration page (http://UserGate/register.html) ( illustration).
