Port Mapping

This section allows adding, editing or deleting assignments for ports used by UserGate Proxy Server. Port mapping technology allows tying any port of one of the local Ethernet interfaces with a specified port of the remote host.

To create a port mapping, press the Add button on the Control Panel and specify the following parameters:

• Mapping name - the name of this particular port mapping.
• Listen IP: port - the IP address of the network interface where UserGate will be "listening" to the client requests on the given port.
• Destination address: port - destination host address and port number.
• IP protocol - TCP or UDP protocol.

Port mapping setup in UserGate is available for all authorized users. Assigned mapped traffic to field allows assigning all traffic going through the given port mapping to the current authorized UserGate user or to a specified user (selected from the list).

Disable option allows disabling a port mapping without deleting it from the system.

To edit a port mapping, use the Edit button on the Control Panel or double-click on the selected assignment.

To delete a port mapping, use the Delete button on the Control Panel.
