This section is designed to create, edit or delete
UserGate users and view the list of rules applied to users. The
list of rules applied to a selected user is in the lower part of
the window.
To create a new user you
need to specify the following parameters:
- Name - user name (Example: John Smith).
- E-mail - e-mail address of the user, used for statistics
messaging.
- Authorization type - authorization method for this user
(all user authorization methods available in UserGate are listed
below).
- Speed limit - connection speed restriction for the user,
in Kilobytes per second. "0" means that the speed is not
limited.
- Billing plan - select the billing plan to be applied to
the user. It is possible to specify any billing plan available in
the system, or the billing plan of a group to which the user
belongs.
- Group - group to which the user belongs.
- Disable user - this option allows disabling Internet
activity of this user without deleting him/her from the list of
users.
- Choose rules applicable to this user - the list of rules
to be applied to the user. You can not deselect the rules used for
the group to which the user belongs, because group rules apply to
all users in a group.
- Choose NAT rules applicable to this user - the list of
NAT rules to be applied to the user. You can not deselect the rules
used for the group to which the user belongs, because group rules
apply to all users in a group.
- Disable dial on demand - check this checkbox to disable
the dial on demand feature for the user.
Attention: After installation in the system there is a
group default and a zero rate - default. While creating a new
group, it is automatically given default rate. That is why on
default all connections of users belonging to the group have a zero
cost, unless the rate is redefined in user profile.
Attention: It is essential that a group has a set rate,
in case there are no rates, a group can not be created.
