Traffic management rules efficiency rating

To manage Internet access a UserGate administrator can create management rules and apply them to a user or user group. However, a situation may occur when rules created works inefficiently. For example, if a rule is created to apply to all the users, but it acts only on “the most active” users, it would be expedient to disable the rule for users, who do not need this rule's effect. Those users’ traffic will be not exposed to needless checking, which improves the server’s productivity. To estimate a rule’s efficiency, there is the “Rules events log” in Web Statistics.

Only information about “Connection – Close” rules is located here. For “Chief” and “Administrator” there are also statistics available to obtain the “weight” of each URL in total rule actuation numbers.
