In the Options tab of guard's Control panel you can select the Show the SpIDer Guard icon in the notification area check box to enable the the guard's icon in the Windows notification area.
The icon's appearance depends on the SpIDer Guard running state:
SpIDer
Guard is launched and running
in a standard mode;
Scanning by
SpIDer Guard is
suspended;
SpIDer
Guard is not active and its
operation is impossible;
The guard's running state is also reflected in the Status field at the Control tab.
When you hover the mouse cursor over the icon, a pop-up window with SpIDer Guard statistics, the date of the last update and the number of virus records in the database appears. Also, pop-up notifications on various events may sometimes appear above the icon. You can set up these notifications in the Reminders tab.
