For this procedure, in Metaverse Designer, you can remove an attribute from a metaverse object type. For optimum performance, your metaverse should retain only those attributes that will be in use. To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the FIMSyncAdmins security group.

To remove an attribute

1. On the Tools menu, click Metaverse Designer.

2. In Object types, click the object that contains the attribute you want to delete.

3. In Attributes, click the attribute.

4. In Configure Attributes, click Remove Attribute.

	Note
	When removing an attribute from the metaverse, it will remain in the metaverse until the last object type it belongs to is deleted from the metaverse.

	Note
	You cannot delete an object type or attribute that has join, projection, import or export attribute flow rules configured for it.
