Stop and restart the Microsoft Identity Integration Server service
For this procedure, you can use Services or the net
command-line tool in Windows Server 2003 to stop and start the
Microsoft Identity Integration Server service. By default, the
Microsoft Identity Integration Server service is started during
operating system boot and stopped during operating system shutdown.
To perform this procedure, you must be logged on with an account
that has stop and start service rights.
To stop and restart the Microsoft Identity Integration Server service
When stopping the Microsoft Identity Integration Server service while a management agent is running,
processing ends after the current processing batch is completed and
any remaining processes are then released from memory. This is the
same behavior that occurs when you click Stop in Management
Agents.
If you stop the service while deleting all connector space
objects for a management agent, all objects will be deleted before
stopping the service.
