Setting the Scanner

 

If using Windows Vista, it is recommended for the Scanner to be run by a user with administrator rights because any changes in the settings made by unprivileged users are not saved when you exit the system.

 

The program’s default settings are optimal in most cases. Do not modify them without necessity.

To change the program's settings:

1. Select Options in the program’s main menu. Then select Change settings in the submenu. The settings window with several tabs will open.
2. Modify the settings as necessary. Click the Apply button to open another tab.
3. After editing the settings click OK to save the changes made, or Cancel to cancel changes.
4. To get information about the settings in a tab click the Help button.
5. If in the General tab the Autosave settings mode is disabled, click Save settings on the Options menu of the main window.
